➢ Leading and managing a national initiative to promote and support the use free software (open
Source) in Oman.
➢ Increase awareness of the existence of free software (open source) solutions and application.
➢ Spread the expertise to the local community through training to develop the skills and know-how
necessary to use, develop and support free and open source software (FOSS).
➢ Encourage the R&D and innovation in adapting open source applications through establishing a
testing lab for open source.
➢ Manage delivery of the project and responsible for the overall administrative, planning tasks, and
follow ups.
